Caterpiller Website

I got this from a book that I took out of the library-
"DesignAgencies.Com".

This is from the Caterpiller website.
Surprisingly, this book was published in 1999. I say surprisingly because with all of the progress that has been made in web design software since 1999, this would still be a decent looking website today.

I like this ad because it shows the beautiful colors on the left and black on the right. However, we are fooled by the colorful part stepping into the black part.

Unity has been shown by the division of color versus black making the viewer believe that the composition is split in half.


As far as websites go, this is quite classic in that it offers everything that the visitor came to see. That is, it did not take away from the informative value of the site to display the graphic side. There are many cool looking sites that lack the informative value or informative sites that lack the graphic side. Because of the divisions, and the fact that there are only two, this site is presented in an orderly fashion.
