The museum needed a new sign program that was respectful to the background while accounting for the structural difficulties and material used (such as the marble floors)

The solution was to design banners, color coated like a compass and keyed to the museum guide for ease to the visitor. The typeface has historical significance: "an original cut by Bodoni".

I love museums :). I also like the way the banners are layed out because they are easy to follow and they are symmetrical according to the basic rules from 108.
